When you purchase a custom order, you receive a shipping label to send us your piece. Once we receive it, allow 1-2 weeks for us to return it to you with the chip installed. On first tap, you will be brought to a website to sign up. You will gain access to an instruction manual on how to get your chip set up with a custom link.
What is an NFC chip and how does it work?
NFC (Near Field Communication) chips let your phone access information or perform actions with just a tap. You’ve probably used NFC when tapping a card or phone to pay at a store—it’s the same technology.
What can I use the NFC chip for?
The NFC chip can be programmed to link to social media profiles, payment links, exclusive content, digital portfolios, or any URL of your choice. Simply tap the logo label with your phone - it will prompt you to open the link.
Will the washer and dryer damage the NFC chip?
Don't worry, the NFC chips we use are fully waterproof and meant to withstand everyday wear and tear. Wash and dry as you normally do.
What types of Carhartt items can I send for customization?
We accept any Carhartt items with the standard gray fabric logo label. This includes tees, hoodies, jackets, beanies, and more. We do NOT accept items with the brown leather label.
